The Leuven University Choir (LUK) was founded in 1969 by a few KU Leuven students. With about 80 singers, all enthusiastic and musical students from the Association KU Leuven, we rehearse every Thursday evening.

Sparklingly enthusiastic student choir, that is how we like to describe ourselves. The LUK is not only a choir, but also a student association and a group of friends. Every year, we organise an introduction evening for new members, a cantus, two rehearsal weekends, an amazing trip in the summer vacation, activities with the other ensembles (the University Symphony Orchestra, the Wind Orchestra of the University and the Arenberg Orchestra), a free podium and much more. Apart from our two semester concerts, we are the choir for official KU Leuven events.

The choir combines continuously increasing quality and great enthusiasm, which is why it stays attractive as an ever-young choir. Since September 2019, the choir is directed by conductor Kevin Hendrickx.
